About this course

This course is your starting point in web development. You'll learn to structure a page with HTML, style it with CSS, then bring everything together in a real project: your first website. HTML: • Prerequisites, the editor and the structure of a page • Elements, attributes and text formatting • Links, images, audio and video • Tables, lists and forms • Semantic elements and the head element • Hands-on exercises and a final exercise CSS: • Selectors, colors, borders and backgrounds • The box model: padding, margin and outline • Inline, block, inline-block and visibility • Text properties and element states (hover…) • Positioning, z-index and float • Modern layouts with Flexbox and CSS Grid Final project: a first website built step by step over 3 videos. 27 videos · Exercises · Complete project

Before you start

No prerequisites: this course starts from zero. Get ready: • A computer with an up-to-date browser • Visual Studio Code (free) and the Live Server extension Tip: create a folder for the course and rebuild every example as you go. It's the best way to remember tags and properties.
